A Gentle Bridge Into Our School Community
Explore Me a Story ~ Mindful Nature Preschool – Summer Program is a summer-long relationship-led offering for young children (8 & under) that blends creativity, sensory play, and meaningful connection with nature.
Rooted in the original Explore Me a Story experience, this summer program offers a calm, nurturing rhythm where children learn through stories, music and movement, sensory and messy play, and time spent deeply connected to the natural world.
The program is intentionally lighter than the school year, while still holding the care, consistency, and relationships that define our preschool.
For many families, summer is a gentle and natural way for their child to step into (and return to) our community — without pressure, being seen, heard and loved.
What Children Experience
Children are supported through:
Sensory and messy play
Stories, music, and movement
Exploring the woods and natural outdoor spaces
Connecting with nature through seasonal experiences
Water play and hands-on sensory exploration with natural materials
Creative expression
Relationship-led guidance and care
Our focus is on connection, regulation, curiosity, and ease — allowing children to feel safe, seen, and supported as they explore.
Who the Summer Program Is For
Explore Me a Story ~ Mindful Nature Preschool – Summer Program is well suited for families who:
are curious about our preschool before committing to the school year
want to support their child’s transition into a group setting
value rhythm, nature connection, and relational care
are looking for flexible summer attendance options
are drawn to a slower, more intentional early childhood experience
Summer Program Options
Families may choose between morning-only or full-day attendance, with the flexibility to attend between one and five days per week.
Morning Program (8:30–11:30)
• 1 morning per week – $35
• 2 mornings per week – $70
• 3 mornings per week – $100
• 4 mornings per week – $130
• 5 mornings per week – $160
Early 8:00am drop-off available - $7
Full Day Program (8:00–6:00)
• 1 full day per week – $85
• 2 full days per week – $170
• 3 full days per week – $240
• 4 full days per week – $320
• 5 full days per week – $400
Participation may be adjusted week to week based on availability.
A Natural Bridge Into the School Year
Many families who join us during the summer choose to continue into the school year.
Summer allows children time to build familiarity, trust, and comfort within the environment — making the transition into fall feel supported, steady, and natural.
